Every year Teresa spent inside the abuse, one woman will be reached, heard, and helped to find the life waiting on the other side. That is not math. That is redemption.
This website exists because Teresa refused to let those 28 years be wasted. Every prayer, every devotional, every word spoken here was born from something real — and it is offered freely to every woman who finds her way here.

About Teresa
My name is Teresa. I am a mother of seven children and a survivor of 28 years of domestic violence.
Three and a half years ago I walked out of that marriage with my four younger children and nothing but the clothes on our backs. No plan. No savings. Just faith, fear, and the desperate need to keep my babies safe.
I know what it feels like to lie awake at night not knowing how you are going to make it. I know what it feels like to question every decision, to miss the familiar even when the familiar was destroying you, to wonder if you made the right choice on the days rebuilding feels impossible.
I also know what it feels like to still be standing. To watch your children breathe peacefully in a home that finally feels safe. To discover that the woman who survived all of that is someone worth knowing.
I created Steadfast N Rising because I needed this when I was alone and lost and terrified — a real voice, a real story, a real prayer from a woman who actually lived it. If you found this page, I believe you were meant to find it.
